Meet Holly G. Green: Consultant, author, speaker, entrepreneur, business leader, mom
Holly Green is the CEO and Managing Director of THE HUMAN FACTOR, Inc. based in San Diego, California. She has over 20 years of executive level and operations experience in FORTUNE 100, entrepreneurial, and management consulting organizations.
Green’s background stretches across strategic planning, organization design and development, process improvement, leadership assessment and development, and the integration and alignment of comprehensive business strategies. She has been responsible for successfully designing and building critical infrastructures in several organizations and has worked as both an internal and external resource for multinational corporations including: The Coca-Cola Company, AT&T, Dell Computer, Bass Hotels & Resorts, QUALCOMM, Expedia, Inc., RealNetworks, Inc. Microsoft and Google. She was previously president of The Ken Blanchard Companies, a global consulting and training organization, and the biotech firm LumMed, Inc.

Holly conducts more than 50 workshops annually for Vistage, the world’s largest CEO membership organization. She is also a frequent keynote speaker for numerous corporate and professional association clients and has extensive experience in political strategy at the local, state and Presidential levels. Her highly anticipated book, More Than A Minute: How To Be An Effective Leader & Manager In Today’s Changing World (Career Press, September 2008) lends voice to her corporate experience and goes beyond the theory of leading and managing by providing practical action oriented information to those aspiring for greatness in business.
After graduating Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor’s degree in behavioral sciences, Holly went on to earn a Master of Science degree in organizational development with Distinction from American University in Washington, D.C. She also holds Senior Professional Human Resource (SPHR), Change Management and Total Quality Management certifications and is currently on staff at Webster University where she teaches courses in the graduate program. Holly also teaches for the University of California San Diego, Rady School of Management in the executive education program.
Born in Japan, Holly was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes at the mere age of 13 but this ‘military brat’ never let that slow her down. A trailblazer for women everywhere, she is mother to two teenagers (Brett,19 and Claire, 15) and wife of 25 years to her high school sweetheart Mark and still somehow manages to give a minimum 10 percent of her time each week doing pro bono work for those in need of her expertise.
Holly Green is a board member of the San Diego Performing Arts League, Total Training, Inc. and a member of the Corporate Director’s Forum and has served in numerous company and not-for-profit organizations. She is an active member of the Chairmen’s Roundtable, a non profit organization of senior executives, providing pro bono strategic advice to mid-sized businesses and serves as a mentor to students in California State University’s Center for Leadership and Mentoring.
